A Group of Cambodian Youth Footballers To Visit Japan This Week

With the cooperation of Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC), 20 youth football players of Cambodia National Football Academy and 5 officials of FFC will visit Japan from Oct. 2 to 10, 2018.

According to the Japanese Embassy's press release AKP received this morning, the delegation will include Mr. Musashi MIZUSHIMA, Japanese Coach of the Academy and U-19 Team of Cambodia.

This visit will be made at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan under the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2018, it pointed out.

The participants will have exchange matches with their counterparts from other Mekong countries (Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam) in Fukushima prefecture, the same source said, adding that the representatives of them will also have an opportunity to have a courtesy call at the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit Conference.

The JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.
