Agricultural Minister Urges for Suitable Use of Agrichemical

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries H.E. Veng Sakhon has encouraged appropriate use of agrichemical among farmers to ensure the quality of agricultural crops.

The message was incorporated in a post of the ministry's formal Facebook page about yesterday's meeting in Siem Reap province.

The mentioned session intends to develop legal basis to manage suitable use of agrichemical in Cambodia's agro-industry.

Based on his observation, the use of agrichemical including fertiliser, herbicide and pesticide has remarkably increased as Cambodia's agro-industry is progressing.

The country's agriculture is concentrating on a number of priority crops, such as cassava, pepper, rubber, rice, corn and cashew.
