Angkor Archaeological Park Makes US$8.3 Million in October

Cambodia's Angkor Archaeological Park generated US$8,348,403 as national income for October alone.

The update was shared recently in a press release from the Angkor Enterprise � a state-owned institution in charge of Angkor income management.

The amount derived from the selling of entrance tickets to 188,474 foreign visitors to the world famous site, it added.

Of the October's generated income, 4,180,086 goes to support the operation of Cambodia's leading children's hospitals Kantha Bopha.

According to the same source, during the first 10 months of this year, the UNESCO heritage complex earned US$93,927,926, up nearly 12 percent compared to the same period last year, from selling entrance tickets to 2,090,040 international tourists, suggesting 7.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
