Cambodia Implements IMF’s Enhanced General Data Dissemination System

Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hor Namhong has received H.E. Panyarak Poolthup, newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia.

In the meeting taking place yesterday here in Phnom Penh, H.E. Panyarak Poolthup spoke highly of Cambodia's rapid development, especially the country's peace and political stability under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

The new Thai diplomat expressed his commitment to boost bilateral relationship between the two countries during his mission in Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Hor Namhong congratulated the Thai diplomat for his new role, and appreciated his commitment to foster collaboration between Cambodia and Thailand.

The deputy prime minister was also positive about the two neighbours' joint intention to open new border crossing gateways to further promote bilateral trades.

He also encouraged the establishment of Cambodian-Thai special economic zones at Banteay Meanchey and Sa Kaeo, and Koh Kong and Trat, more imports of Cambodian products to Thailand, tourism cooperation and beyond.

Cambodia-Thailand trade volume reached over US$6 billion in 2017 .
