Cambodia Makes US$85.57 Million from Angkor Entrance Ticket Sales

World known Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province � a UNESCO's World Heritage Site � generated a total revenue of US$85.57 million from entrance pass sales in the first nine months of 2018.

The income suggested an increase of 13 percent over the same period last year, according to a recent press release from Angkor Enterprise, the state-owned institution in charge of Angkor income management.

Entrance passes were sold out to 1.9 million foreign tourists (8.5 percent upturn compared to last year) from January to September.

Of the US$85.57 million earning, about US$3.80 million was donated to Kantha Bopha Children's Hospitals.

In September alone, the entrance passed were sold to 156,865 foreign tourists, generating around US$6.8 million.

In 2017, 2.45 million international visitors bought Angkor entrance tickets, generating an income of US$107 million.
