Cambodia, Thailand Continue Mine Clearance along Shared Border Areas

Cambodia and Thailand are committed to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation on mine clearance along border areas of the two neighbouring countries.

The positive spirit was underlined during a recent meeting between H.E. Heng Ratana, Director General of Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and Mr. Krittikorn Ratsamiputanon, Deputy Director General of Thailand Mine Action Centre (TMAC) here in Phnom Penh.

H.E. Heng Ratana noticed that mine clearance activities by the two counterparts so far contributed essentially to the development of special economic zones.

The service followed the spirit of the decision making during the last Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) Joint Secretariat Meeing, he added.
