Cambodia, Thailand To Boost Tourism Cooperation

Cambodia and Thailand are eyeing more cooperation in the tourism sector, Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon said after his meeting with H.E. Panyarak Poolthup, newly appointed Thai Ambassador, here early this week.

In the meeting, H.E. Thong Khon asked the Thai side to help Cambodia on human resource training in the field of tourism because Thailand has a lot of experience in this sector.

Thailand is a tourism hub in ASEAN. It attracts annually over 30 million foreign visitors.

Last year, nearly 400,000 Thai tourists visited Cambodia, while 700,000 Cambodian visitors went to Thailand.
