Cambodia To Create Language Translation Center to Reduce Dangers from Chemical Fertilisers and Pesticides

Cambodia is going to create a language translation centre, from foreign languages into Khmer, to explain farmers about the use and harmful effects of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.

The move is aimed to reduce the dangers from the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides in Cambodia, underlined H.E. Dr. Sok Touch, President of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, while presiding over the closing ceremony of the International Seminar on the Applications of Chemical Fertilisers and Pesticides in ASEAN Countries' Agricultural Sector, in Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province, yesterday.

As a result of language barriers, farmers have faced dangers from the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides, said H.E. Dr. Sok Touch, thus requesting all participating countries to translate directions on the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides from foreign languages into their respective national languages.
