Cambodia To Hold 1st National TVET Day in Mid-June

Cambodia is going to organise the first ever National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Day at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre, Phnom Penh on June 15-16, 2018, according to a local media report.

The forthcoming event is aimed to deal with concerns of high school students, so that they can make a right decision over their university studies and get information about the labour market's current and future requirements and about scholarships at higher education institutions.

Besides, the participants can visit students' fair as well as consult with representatives from different companies over skills, careers and jobs.

The Royal Government of Cambodia has been paying special attention to the promotion of TVET in the country. In October last year, it launched the National TVET Policy 2017-2025 which will respond to labour market's requirements, especially contribute to the industrial sector development and decent job creation as well as ensure quality, high productivity and better competitiveness with other countries in the region.
