Cambodian and Vietnamese Customs Officials Meet to Further Address Smuggling

Senior Cambodian and Vietnamese customs and excise officials met in Bavet, Svay Rieng province, early this week to strengthen cooperative crackdown of transnational smuggling.

According to a joint statement of the meeting, both sides pledged to exchange import and export data and other necessary information so as to effectively monitor and timely intervene smugglings.

It is expected that the meeting � third of its kind � will further boost bilateral trades and good exchanges between the two neighbours toward mutual benefits.

After the meeting, the Vietnamese officials also paid exposure visit to Intervia Automobile Industrial Complex Special Economic Zone and Phnom Penh Autonomous Port.
