Cambodian, Thai Tourism Ministers Hold Bilateral Talks

Cambodia's Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon met in Bangkok, Thailand last Friday with his Thai counterpart H.E. Ms. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, in the First Cambodian-Thai Tourism Ministerial Meeting.

According to a news release of the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, both sides agreed to continue boosting the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two Tourism Ministries focusing mainly on travel and tourism transport facilitation, joint tourism marketing Two Kingdoms, One Destination, tourism investment, cruise link, and human resource development.

Health tourism was also a topic of discussion. Cambodian tourists can stay in Thailand up to 90 days for health treatment for each visit.

Last year, Cambodia welcomed more than 5 million foreign visitors, of them some 350,000 were Thai tourists. At the same time, about 700,000 Cambodian tourists visited Thailand.
