Commerce Minister Sees Development of FinTech in Cambodia

H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, expressed his pleasure to see the growth of technological sector in Cambodia, especially the development of FinTech.

While receiving a delegation of Clik Payment (Cambodia) led by its CEO and Founder Mr. Matthew Tippetts, at the ministry office in Phnom Penh early this week, H.E. Minister stressed that e-payment is very crucial to contribute to the country's economic digitalisation.

Mr. Matthew Tippetts informed H.E. Minister that his company will launch a digital payment app to ease financial transactions, particularly the international ones.

H.E. Pan Sorasak welcomed the new payment app, adding that it will facilitate transactions not only between local sellers and buyers, but also cross-border e-commerce.

According to H.E. Pan Sorasak, the Ministry of Commerce has been pushing for the completion of e-commerce law drafting.
