Construction Project of New Airport in Siem Reap Province on the Way

A construction project of a new international-class airport worth US$900 million in Siem Reap province is going on its way, according to local media report.

As quoted from the source, Mr. Sinn Chanserey Vutha, Spokesperson at the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), said the construction project is divided into two stages � the first will cost about US$550 million and the second focusing on its expansion will need around US$350 million.

Mr. Zhou Yuhui, Vice President of Yunnan Investment Holdings, which is in charge of the airport construction is examining the ground and technical pre-construction work.

The company is also developing master plan and road infrastructure to grease the construction process.
