DPM Sar Kheng and Swiss Ambassador Discuss Strategic Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Ambassador of Switzerland to Cambodia have discussed about strategic cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister, Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, and visiting Bangkok-based Ambassador of Switzerland to Cambodia H.E. Ivo Sieber held the talks recently here in Phnom Penh.

On the occasion, the Swiss ambassador presented to Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng the gist of 2018-2021 strategic cooperation between the Mekong countries � including Cambodia � and Switzerland.

Speaking highly of swift progress of Cambodia, the ambassador acknowledged Cambodia as a key player in the strategic cooperation framework.

H.E. Ivo Sieber also reiterated his government's commitment to continue contributing to the development of Cambodia, particularly in the area of vocational training, agriculture, local governance � well aligned to the set United Nations Sustainable Development Goals towards 2030.

From his side, Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng warmly welcomed the visit of the Swiss diplomat, stressing that the visit will contribute to further strengthening bilateral partnership between the two nations.

He also updated the ambassador happening reforms by the Royal Government Cambodia in areas such as public financial management, social services, sub-national administration, and beyond.

Samdech Deputy Prime Minister wrapped the talks up with thanks to the Government of Switzerland for its contribution to Cambodia's development.
