EU Reiterates Its Continuing Good Cooperation with Cambodia

European Union (EU) has reiterated its stand on continuing good cooperation with the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The reconfirmation was made by the EU Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. George Edgar when celebrating the 20th agreement cooperation between Cambodia and the union here in Phnom Penh.

As underlined by the ambassador, the EU will continue as a good partner with the Royal Government of Cambodia in terms of both political and development aspects.

Since the 1990s, the EU has contributed significantly to the progress of Cambodia, ranging from education and agriculture to financial management and trading.

The EU is one of Cambodia's biggest export markets in 2016 alone Cambodia exported an equivalence of US$4.5 billion to the market.

Official commencement of the cooperation between Cambodia and the EU dates back to November 1, 1999.
