H.E. Sim Ka Elected as First Vice President of Senate

H.E. Sim Ka has been elected as First Vice President of Senate of Cambodia, in replacement of H.E. Nay Pena who passed away on Sept. 29, 2018.

The election took place in the extraordinary session of the 4th legislature of Senate held here this morning under the chairmanship of its President Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, according to a press release of the Senate issued after the meeting.

All the 58 senators present at the session voted for H.E. Sim Ka, a senior member of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

At the same time, H.E. Ms. Kang Saothun was recognised as new senator for 5th Regional Constituency (Takeo, Kampot and Kep provinces) in replacement of late H.E. Nay Pena.
