His Majesty the King Sends Condolence Letter to Chinese President

His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has expressed his sincere condolences over the deadly floods in China.

I was extremely shocked and saddened to learn of the loss of life and that millions of people were affected by floods caused by heavy rains which hit west China's Sichuan and Gansu provinces, said on July 13 the Cambodian monarch in a royal letter to H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China.

In these painful circumstances, the people of Cambodia, the Khmer Royal Family join me to extend to Your Excellency and the families of the victims our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy, he added.

His Majesty the King also wished China for the complete success of the relief work teams in the flood-hit regions.
