Indian PM Congratulates Samdech Techo Hun Sen on CPP’s Victory

H.E. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, has sent a congratulatory message to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister and President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) on his party's landslide victory in the July 29 National Election.

It gives me great pleasure to extend to you my heartfelt congratulations on the landslide victory of Cambodian People's Party under your leadership in the 6th legislature general elections in the Kingdom of Cambodia, said the Indian Premier in his recent message.

He also extended best wishes to the friendly people of Cambodia for their continued progress, peace and prosperity.

I am confident that our traditional and friendly relations, which have been reinvigorated in recent times by your visit to India and many other high-level visits between our two countries, will further grow and deepen in the years to come, underlined H.E. Narendra Modi.

At a press conference here yesterday, H.E. Sous Yara, a CPP spokesperson, affirmed that the party has so far received congratulations from more than 30 institutions and nations, including Chinese, Lao, Philippine, Russian, Singaporean, Thai, Vietnamese leaders, Japanese ruling party, Centrist Democrat International, International Conference of Asian Political Parties, Asian Parliamentary Assembly, ASEAN Inter-Parliament Assembly, European Council on Foreign Relations and so on.
