Japan Continues to Help Promoting Occupational Safety and Health in Construction Sector

Japan will continue to support a project to promote occupational safety and health in the construction sector from 2018 to 2020.

This commitment was made during a meeting between H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia and H.E. Jiro Kawasaki, a Member of House of Representatives and former Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, according to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training's news release.

Through cooperation with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Office in Japan, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training successfully implemented the first project on occupational safety and health from 2014 until 2018.

Under the second project, training courses on safety at construction site will be organised for construction companies and workers.
