Japan’s Grant for Construction of Seven Bridges in Cambodia

Government of Japan has decided to provide a grant to construct seven bridges in Cambodia under the Project for Urgent Replacement of Bridges in Flood-Prone Areas, according to local media report.

The source cited Mr. Chhim Phalla, Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, sharing the update.

Two of the seven bridges will built along National Road No. 11 from Neak Loeung to Prey Veng province, while the rest along National Road No. 73 from Thbong Khmum province to Kratie province, he pointed out.

Construction of the bridges expected to begin later this month will cost about US$30 million and each bridge stretches between 100 and 200 metres.
