Mekong Floods Affect Almost 30,000 Families and Kill 4 People

Happening Mekong river floods have to date affected nearly 30,000 families and kill four people across Cambodia.

The figure is the latest update received from the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) quoted by a local media.

Some 29,100 families in four provinces, including Stung Treng, Kratie, Thbong Khmum and Kampong Cham, have been affected by the floods, it pointed out.

Among the four people killed by the floods, it added, three are children.

The floods also affected 136 schools, 54 pagodas, 9 health clinics, 4,108 hectares of rice paddy, and 2,875 hectares of other crops.
