Minister of Mines and Energy Urges Full Legal Compliance among Mining Firms

Minister of Mines and Energy has urged mining companies operating in Cambodia to fully comply with the country's laws and regulations.

The minister, H.E. Suy Sem, underlined the point yesterday when meeting with representatives of more than 20 mining companies here in Phnom Penh.

Any mining firm who does not comply with Cambodia's laws and regulations, he continued, will be penalised, and their license can be revoked accordingly.

However, as he added, there is no licenced mining company in Cambodia violate the country's laws and regulations so far.
