Ministry of Information Instructs Private Broadcasting Media on Political Airtime

Ministry of Information has briefed owners and representatives of all private radio and TV stations on the selling of airtime to political parties to promote their agenda.

Taking place at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh late last week, the gathering intends to ensure that all the radio and TV stations will comply well with election law during the upcoming political campaign running toward the July 29 national election.

H.E. Phos Sovann, Director General of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Information, underlined that compliance with election law will ensure a fair, transparent and violence-free race.

Based on the National Election Committee, the political campaign season will last for 21 days, from July 7 to 27.
