Some 28,432 new eligible voters have been registered at the National Election Committee (NEC) during the first four days of the ongoing registration campaign, said NEC in a press release issued this morning.

At the same time, 3,667 names have been deleted from the list and 198 others have been corrected, it added.

The 18-day voter list verification and voter registration campaign began since Oct. 1, and at least 489,963 Cambodians are estimated to reach the voting age by the registration period.

With the new figure, the number of Cambodian qualified voters could increase to 9,908,243.
