MoU to Promote Cambodia’s Garment Industry Signed

National Employment Agency (NEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cambodian Garment Training Institute (CGTI) to deliver textile capacity building service.

Official signing ceremony of the agreement took place late last week here in Phnom Penh in the presence of H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training.

The MoU will not only provide a good opportunity for both entities to cooperate, but also help boost Cambodia's garment industry, H.E. Ith Samheng underlined.

Through assistance from its stakeholders, Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC) established CGTI a fashion and textile training institute in 2017 to provide technical skill training in the sector.
