Official Recognition of Record-Breaking Cambodia’s Longest Boat to Happen in November

Official recognition of Cambodia's longest boat in the world record has been scheduled to take place on Nov. 12.

The update was recently shared by H.E. Sar Sokha, Education, Youth and Sports Secretary of State, specifying that a team of Guinness World Records will come to evaluate the boat and announce their result that day.

The event will take place in Neak Loeung town of Prey Veng province � the home of the longest boat named 'Kambojikaputtakhemaratari literally meaning the boat of Khmers in Cambodian territory.

Made of hardwood with artistic Khmer ancient design, the boat is 85 metres long and 1.55 metres wide, and capable of carrying 179 people.
