PM Hun Sen: Cambodia-Laos Border Issue Should End Soon

Cambodia and Lao PDR should end their border issue as soon as possible, said Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen at a joint press conference with his Lao counterpart H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith in Vientiane, Laos on Dec. 5.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, both sides will draft new documents to seek France's assistance concerning their border issue.

The Cambodian Premier also underlined that this morning's meeting is not the beginning of the relationship between the two neighbouring nations, but the stage to strengthen and expand their relations and cooperation.

For his part, H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith laid stress on the three points related to the border issue at O' Ta Ngao and O' A Lay agreed previously by both Premiers - no military presence, no business, and joint control at those areas even by land, waterway and air.
