PM Pays This Year’s Last Visit to Garment and Factory Workers

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this morning paid a visit to some 15,600 workers and employees from 22 factories and enterprises in Kampong Speu and Kandal provinces.

The get-together took place at Psar Dek commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.

This is the Premier's last visit to garment and factory workers and employees this year. For the whole year 2018, Samdech Techo Hun Sen held 36 gatherings with nearly 600,000 workers and employees.

According to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, there are currently 464 factories and enterprises in Kandal province, employing 155,138 workers and employees with a total annual wage of US$372 million, while Kampong Speu province has about 230 factories and enterprises, employing over 100,000 workers and employees with more than US$247 million annual wage.

Since Aug. 20, 2017, Samdech Techo Hun Sen has paid 61 visits to more than 875,000 workers and employees across the country.
