Preah Sihanouk’s Kang Keng Airport’s Runway To be Expanded

Runway of Kang Keng International Airport in Preah Sihanouk province will be expanded to respond to rising passengers, particularly for tourism purpose, according to local media report.

As quoted in the source, a senior official of the flight promotion section, explained that current length of the airport's runway is 2.5 kilometres and it will be expanded to 3.5 kilometres.

The expansion of the runway, he added, will last from March to October 2019.

Kang Keng International Airport is servicing seven airlines, and by far for this year alone it has welcomed about 700,000 passengers.

There are currently three international airports operating in Cambodia including Phnom Penh International Airport, Preah Sihanouk International Airport and Siem Reap International Airport.
