Samdech Heng Samrin Receives New Thai Ambassador

Newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia H.E. Panyarak Poolthup has pledged to continue strengthening and expanding the existing cooperation between the two neighbouring Kingdoms in all sectors, mainly economy and trade.

The new diplomat made the promise while paying a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly (NA), at the NA Palace this morning, H.E. Keo Piseth, Director of Cabinet of Samdech Heng Samrin told reporters after the meeting.

H.E. Panyarak Poolthup highly valued peace, political stability, security and order in Cambodia, the key factors for national development.

On the bilateral relations, the Thai ambassador said in March, both nations decided to open a new international border gate and three more will be opened in the near future in accordance with the agreement between the two countries' governments to further boost the bilateral economic and trade exchange.

Samdech Heng Samrin expressed the Cambodian NA's warm welcome, support and readiness to cooperate with H.E. Panyarak Poolthup.

The NA president also spoke highly of the progress in the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two governments which have now reached the highest level ever.
