UNFPA’s New Representative Expresses Positive Spirit of Mission in Cambodia

AKP Phnom Penh, UNFPA's new country representative to Cambodia Ms. SithyRizvina de Alwis has appreciated her assignment in the country and pledged to bring the organisation's cooperation with the Royal Government to the next level.

The country representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) expressed the optimistic spirit when received by Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. PrakSokhonn yesterday.

In the meeting taking place here in Phnom Penh, H.E. PrakSokhonn and Ms. SithyRizvina de Alwis touched mainly on health care and empowerment among women as well as youth and intervention against illicit drug trafficking.

The foreign minister concluded that the Royal Government of Cambodia welcomes the mission of new country representative as well as of UNFPA in Cambodia.
